Hyundai Sonata: Crash Pad / Glove Box Upper Cover Assembly Repair procedures

Put on gloves to protect your hands. |

• |
When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver or use a prying trim
tool, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the
related parts, to prevent damage. |
• |
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces to protect from marring the surface. |
• |
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels. |

Disconnect the stopper (B) from the glove box (A). |
2. |
Disconnect the air damper (A) from the glove box (B). |
3. |
Disconnect the pins (A) and then remove the glove box (B). |
4. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front door scuff tirm [RH] (A). |
5. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the cowl side tirm [RH] (A). |
6. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad under cover [RH] (A). |
7. |
Disconnect the under lamp connector (A). |
8. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side cover [RH] (A). |
9. |
After loosen the mounting screws, remove the crash pad passenger side garnish (A). |
10. |
After loosen the mounting screws, remove the crash pad side garnish assembly [RH] (A). |
11. |
After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the glove box upper cover assembly (A) by using a screw driver. |
12. |
Disconnect the glove box lamp connector (A). |
13. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure the connector is connected properly. |
• |
Replace any damage clips. |
