System Diagram

Driver Door Module (DDM)
Driver Door Module (DDM) is part of CAN configuration, communicating with BCM, SMK, SJB, PSM, and ADM via CAN while performing wired signal I/Os with safety power windows.
Operate the buttons of DDM located on the inner side of the driver door to perform any functions related to power windows, electric mirror, and door lock/unlock.
Its main functions are as follows :
1.
Controls up/down operation of 4 power windows, respectively.
2.
Locks/unlocks the central door.
3.
Controls the outside mirror fold/unfold.
4.
Operates the outside mirror (up/down and right/left).
5.
Automatically lowers the outside mirror while reversing (Auto Reverse).
6.
Memorizes and recalls the mirror position using memory switch.
7.
Controls interior lamps.
Power Window Operation
1.
Manual Up/Down and Automatic Up/Down Control for Power Windows at Driver Seat
A.
Driver seat : Signals are outputted via hard wire according to the inputs from the rear door window up/down switches at the driver seat.
Passenger seat : CAN messages are transferred to ADM according to the inputs from passenger seat window manual and automatic up/down switches and rear door window up/down switches at the passenger seat.
B.
Driver safety specification : Manual and automatic up/down signals are outputted to the driver seat safety window module according to the driver seat window up/down switches.
C.
Front safety specification : Manual and automatic up/down signals are outputted to the safety window module according to the passenger seat window up/down switches.
2.
Power Window Lock
A.
With the power window lock switch on, transfers the window locking signal to inhibit the operation of passenger seat and rear seats windows.
3.
Timer
A.
When switching the ignition from ON to OFF, the power window is operable for 30 seconds on receiving an operational command from the BCM.
Central Door Lock/ Unlock

1.
Relevant signal is sent to the BCM by the driver seat power window door lock/unlock switches.
The BCM will lock or unlock the door based on the received switch signals.
Outside Mirror Fold & Unfold

1.
Operating the Fold switch, the DDM will transmits the fold, unfold, or auto state to the BCM.
The BCM will fold, unfold, or automatically operate the mirror based on the received switch signals.
DDM Outside Mirror Operation

1.
Manual Operation of Driver Seat Outside Mirror
A.
With ACC ON or IGN ON and the mirror selection switch on the driver seat DDM switch set to the driver seat, operating the mirror direction switch (up/down and right/left) will activate the mirror actuator in the selected direction.
2.
Manual Operation of Passenger Seat Outside Mirror
A.
With ACC ON or IGN ON and the mirror selection switch on the DDM switch set to the passenger seat, operating the mirror direction switch (up/down and right/left) will transmit the operation signal to the passenger seat power window switch (ADM) via CAN communication.
The ADM will activate the passenger mirror actuator in the selected direction.

With the engine turned on, mirror selection switch set to the driver seat, and the gear selected in the R (reverse) position, the mirrors at the sides of driver and passenger seats will be lowered as much as 5 degrees.
2.
With the engine turned on, mirror selection switch set to the passenger seat, and the gear selected in the R (reverse) position, the mirrors at the sides of driver and passenger seats will be lowered as much as 5 degrees.
3.
With the mirrors lowered as much as 5 degrees, changing the gear position from R to another position will return the mirror to the original position.
4.
With the mirrors lowered as much as 5 degrees, switching off the engine will return the mirror to the original position.
Memorization and Recall of Mirror Position Using Memory Switch
1.
System Description
A.
IMS switch inputs are received by Power Seat Module (PSM).
B.
Receiving the IMS switch inputs, the PSM will send the information to DDM and ADM via CAN communication.
C.
Receiving the information from the PSM, the DDM and the ADM will memorize and recall it.

2. They carry out the memorization and recall operation if the following conditions are met :
A.
IGN ON
B.
Gear selected in P (Park) position
C.
The vehicle speed is "0 km/h" according to the information transmitted from the BCM via CAN communication.
3.
Save Mirror Position
A.
Move the mirrors on the sides of driver and passenger seats to desired positions.
B.
Press the SET switch from IMS switches.
C.
Press the switch 1 or 2 within the limited time period.
D.
The mirror positions will be stored in the IMS switch 1 or 2 of the DDM and the ADM.
Interior Lamps Control
1.
The BCM receives the state of multi-function switch (MFSW) light. The BCM sends an interior light ON command to the DDM via CAN communication unless the state of the light switch is OFF.
Receiving the interior light ON command, the DDM will output interior light signal.
Assist Door Module (ADM)
Assist Door Module (ADM) is part of CAN configuration, communicating with BCM, SMK, SJB, PSM, and DDM via CAN while performing wired signal I/Os with safety power windows and window glass motors.
Its main functions are as follows :
1.
Controls up/down operation of the passenger seat power window.
2.
The driver is able to operate the passenger seat outside mirror.
3.
Operates the Auto Reverse function of the passenger seat outside mirror.
4.
Memorizes and recalls the passenger seat mirror position using memory switch.
5.
Controls interior lamps.
Power Window Operation

1.
Manual and Automatic Up/Down Control for Power Windows at Passenger Seat
A.
The ADM receives the CAN message sent by the DDM, to control the passenger window glass.
B.
Driver safety specification : The passenger seat window consists of only up/down functions, without any safety function.
C.
Front safety specification : Manual and automatic up/down signals are outputted to the safety window module according to the passenger seat window auto up/down switches.
2.
Power Window Lock
A.
Receiving power window lock switch ON signal from the DDM by means of CAN message, the ADM will inhibit the operation of the passenger seat and the rear window at the front passenger side.
3.
Timer
A.
When switching the ignition from ON to OFF, the power window is operable for 30 seconds on receiving an operational command from the BCM.
Operation of Passenger Seat Outside Mirror Using DDM Switch
1.
With ACC ON or IGN ON and the mirror selection switch on the driver seat DDM set to the passenger seat, operating the mirror direction switch (up/down and right/left) will transmit the driving signal to the passenger seat power window (ADM) via CAN communication.
The ADM will activate the passenger mirror actuator in the selected direction.
Auto Reverse of Outside Mirror
1.
With the engine turned on, the DDM mirror selection switch set to the driver seat, and the gear selected in the R (reverse) position, the DDM will deliver a message to lower the mirror as much as 5 degrees to the ADM via CAN communication.
Receiving the CAN message, the ADM will lower the passenger seat mirror accordingly.
2.
With the engine turned on, the DDM mirror selection switch set to the passenger seat, and the gear selected in the R (reverse) position, the DDM will deliver a message to lower the mirror as much as 5 degrees to the ADM via CAN communication.
Receiving the CAN message, the ADM will lower the passenger seat mirror accordingly.
3.
With the mirrors lowered as much as 5 degrees, changing the gear position from R to another position will return the mirror to the original position.
4.
With the mirrors lowered as much as 5 degrees, switching off the engine will return the mirror to the original position.
Memorization and Recall of Mirror Position Using Memory Switch
1.
System Description
A.

Functions related to the power window, mirror, and door lock/unlock at the passenger seat can be controlled using the driver seat power window switches; the front passenger can control the passenger seat window.

Controls up/down operation of the 4 door power windows, respectively.

Locks/unlocks the central door.
3.
Controls the outside mirror fold/unfold.
4.
Operates the outside mirror (up/down and right/left).
5.
Controls interior lamps.
Power Window Operation
1.
Manual Up/Down and Automatic Up/Down Control for Power Windows at Driver Seat
A.
Operates the passenger seat window manual up/down switch, automatic up/down switch, and right/left rear seat door window up/down switch.
B.
Driver safety specification: Manual and automatic up/down signals are outputted to the driver seat safety window module according to the driver seat window up/down switches.
C.
Front safety specification: Manual and automatic up/down signals are outputted to the safety window module according to the passenger seat window up/down switches.

A.

Relevant status is outputted to smart junction block (SJB) by the driver seat power window door lock/unlock switches. Receiving a switch input, the SJB will lock or unlock the central door based on the switch status.
Operation of Outside Mirror Using Power Window Switch

Manual Operation of Driver Seat Outside Mirror
A.
With ACC ON or IGN ON and the mirror selection switch on the driver seat power window switch set to the driver seat, operating the mirror direction switch (up/down and right/left) will activate the driver seat mirror actuator in the selected direction.
2.
Manual Operation of Passenger Seat Outside Mirror
A.
With ACC ON or IGN ON and the mirror selection switch on the passenger seat power window switch set to the driver seat, operating the mirror direction switch (up/down and right/left) will activate the passenger seat mirror actuator in the selected direction.
Outside Mirror Fold & Unfold
1.
Operating the Fold switch, the power window switch will transmits the fold, unfold, or auto state to the BCM. The BCM will fold, unfold, or automatically operate the mirror based on the received switch signals.
Interior Lamps Control
1.
The BCM receives the state of multi-function switch (MFSW) light. The BCM sends an interior light ON command to the smart junction block (SJB) via CAN communication unless the state of the light switch is OFF, and the SJB outputs the signal to illuminate the light within the power window switch.
